Soft onions

Hi  all,    The onions i planted last  Autumn  did well,   i had a great crop  but  i`ve noticed a lot have   started   to go  soft,   does anyone  know why  this  could be  happening.  Michael

Autumn planted onions don't store well.  Use them up first and keep your spring planted onions for later :)

This has happened to me as well.  I think, in my case anyway, they were not dry enough.  I hung them in the garage but I probably should have hung them somewhere with more air circulation.  Especially for the first few weeks.
They do need to dry very well to get a hard skin and I think that was my downfall.  A similar thing has happened to some of my garlic.

You're very lucky they made it this far, a whole year has passed by, afterall.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
