Good evening all,  Something that I never seem to get right, When is the best time to get my early and maincrop potatoes ordered ?   Regards Kloggs

First deliveries are made at the end Dec/ start Jan so order soon...and shortly after the 1st deliveries they start making substitutions cos you ordered late

But if you want potatoes without paying postage buy from an allotment society, your local garden centre, or somewhere like Wilko....makes them a lot cheaper    (but Wilko do stock a smaller range, so if you want something a bit out of the ordinary best not to rely on them) Allotments should be taking orders soon, the rest get stock in after Christmas

For specific orders of the more unusual varieties, our lotty association orders must be placed by the end of nov - just to give you an idea of possible timescales near you.

For the more common spuds we'll just get a bulk order and people can buy them loose after delivery to us.

Hi all, Many thanks for your replies,it looks as though I had better get my skates on then. Unfortunately our 'lotty' does not have a group shop so I will probably have to take your advice and have a look around the centres. Many thanks kind regards   Kloggs. :happy:
