I had to take Dolly the chicken to the vets today as one of her legs had become really swollen and tender over the weekend and she was limping.
Anyway the vet gave her a Baytril injection as she said trying to administer it orally was a bit hit and miss.
Now I have been searching the internet and it seems that administering it by injection is wrong in chickens and they should have it orally?

when I had to give my girls baytril I gave it to them in their water, only gave hem a little water and made sure they drank it all before refilling water bottles
