Freezing corn on the cob
« on: September 29, 2009, 21:16 »
I have sadly come to the end of my corn crop now, but noticed today in Tesco that it is on offer wth 4 cobs with leaves for £1.  My chickens absolutely love it and wondered if it could be frozen as it is for them?  Bearing in mind they are not too fussy would it freeze ok?

I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Ive put lots in the freezer and after cutting all the kernels off, the chickens get the cobs.  Mine like the cobs that have been blanched for freezing better than fresh and raw.
