... Anyway I have made some shortbread today and some mince pies, they too have been hidden round the country.  :D

Now that the shortbread and mince pies in the country are safely hidden, you might want to look after whatever made it's way into the cities and villages!  :D  Especially if you see scarecrows lurking about  :nowink: ...  That's a dead give away in the city  :).

Just to let you know I have a video doorbell that guards the front of the house and will be installing cctv in the shed. I’m just checking to see if there is a special scarecrow alert setting …

Eddie the chicken has also been briefed. 1 crow for wooden dolls, 2 for scarecrows

I wonder if the Crowman knows of Worzel's and Aunties' behaviour. :D  I think he may have to have words.

Indeed - it's the wrong time of year to go incognito at a scarecrow festival  :D
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Do we need to get some non alcoholic 'bubbles' or English sparkling wine to  offer in case there are some that won't want the Cava I'm sourcing at the moment. ::)

I've been round all the shops today looking for the best offer on Cava so we can have some 'bubbles' with our breakfast.  The best offer is in Tesco at £5.45 a bottle, if you buy six you get an extra 10% off, so I've gone for the six! :D  In the Co-op  it's £7 a bottle.    Spent most of the afternoon making the alternative to prawn and avocado cocktail for starter, roasted carrot and tomato soup with garlic croutons.  It needs to cool down now so that I can whizz it in the blender and then get it in the freezer.

Ok who’s donating their sprouts for ‘the’ meal and more importantly have they put them on to boil yet? :nowink:

Oops, I can do the sprouts, how remiss of me to forget them. It wouldn't do for them to be undercooked and like hard balls

You had better hope so ‘cos you just did

Maybe Aunty will let it go as it’s nearly Christmas.  Bake some of your scones and get the kettle on and she’ll soon forget all about telling you off  ;)

I am a sprout dodger, so can we have some cabbage as well ?
