As some of you may know we had 3 chickens that died  within 4 days of having them and when we went back to the breeder he did not want to know. We had put the new ones in with our first 4 for 2 nights before we realised there was something wrong with them.

Today we mixed up the sachet of Virkon S and disinfected the house and run thoroughly with it including their drinkers feeders poop scoops buckets pet carrier and anything else we use  for the hens. So hopefully all is clean.

We also got some Johnsons  Anti Mite xtra pump spray as I am sure I had a lice on me after picking one of them up. They have now all been sprayed.

I haven't been able to get the Diatom yet but did get some Barrier powder and had doused them in this when we first had them. We have also sprinkled this in their henhouse along with the Antimite spray

We also got some Poultry Pink to add to their drinking water for extra nutrients. We have allready been adding ACV since they came here. Can you add the 2 to the water? We have not put any ACV in yet today.

Tomorrow we will start the Flubenvet treatment  in their food. so at least they will have been wormed too.

I should now have the cleanest healthiest chickens in town ... well for 5 mins anyway.

Feeling a littl more positive today now that we have cleaned everything.
