That would be telling , but you can hire him for, say, £100 per day (I work for a lawyer, so my fees are pretty high - depends how desperate you are) .  But I feed him on regular meals, and plenty of rest and he hibernates in the winter

I use pieces of cardboard on my plot for suppressing weeds, it's easy to get hold of, the local electric shop has loads of it, and I save any I get with parcels etc.  I even use it for temporary paths.  Black woven sheet mulch is also good for keeping weeds at bay and slugs don't like it as it's scratchy.  Fair enough the solid black plastic attracts them but best not use that cos it doesn't let the rain pass through.
