Water Pipe for Brassica Netting
« on: August 20, 2009, 16:39 »
Hello

I've just picked up my first allotment and I'm going to plant some spring cabbages.

Where do you get the water pipe from that I see people using to hold up netting on their plots.

How much does it cost?

I'm going to order some debris netting off ebay :-)

Jewsons keep it
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

I just use lengths of pressure treated rough cut timber from the local DIY store. Length can be cut to suit the crop and the debris netting just rests on top & pegged in the ground.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I use blue water pipe because I got it for free.  Balls on sticks worked well before that and bottles on sticks ditto.
Cheese makes everything better.
