The colour PURPLE
« on: August 01, 2009, 12:24 »
Hiya all,
You may start to notice that I am pretty much obsessed with the colour purple and lilac  8).

Here are some of the purple veg we grew last year

Peeled purple potatoes, black beans but in my eyes purple lol, red onions but once again I am colour blind and see them as purple lol, and purple beetroot  ;) :D.

Those potatoes made lilac mash and didn't taste bad either .

Have you tried purple carrots?

They lose their colour when cooked but have nice orange core when cut fresh.

Marshalls are selling purple raspberries!

I was tempted, but have resisted so far.

We have whole 'purple' bed at school, with carrots, french beans, red mustard (which looks purple it's so dark) and  several beetroots --- the children loved it!!
