I have been very lucky and have been given a second plot at the allotment, hurray!  This means that I now have space to build some beds for permanent veg like asparagus.  Does anyone have any advice for me before we start digging?  It will be a raised bed, as all of mine are, just wondered on optimum size, what to put in it etc.
