feather re-growth after lice
« on: July 26, 2009, 09:09 »
Hello

I have a young welsummer (12+wks?) who came to me with a nasty lice infection, I am pretty sure she is clear now, it is easy to see as she almost totally bald on her back end and under her wings.
She is back on chick crumb, drinking water supplmented with life guard and has been wormed with flubenvet.
She is starting to look a little better, growing a bit and her colours are more viberent, but there is no sign of re-feathering although no signs of lice for a month now. Is this normal, will it take a long time for her feathers to grow, or is there something else I could do for her?

Thanks foxy

I noticed on another thread that you will be starting chicken keeping courses.
My oh regularly visits Bristol with his hobby (bonsai) so I would definately tag along one time with my son for some expert knowledge.
