over the last two days have had 10 chicks hatch out of 18,one is waiting for the last push.
how long should i leave the remaing eggs in for?
dont think i could live with myself if i didnt give them  a fair chance,3 hatched on day 20,6 on day 21,1 today and another on last push.

Personally I would leave them another couple of days.....sometimes others will hatch out a bit later. Have you put the others in a brooder?

Earlier this year, in my second batch of chicks the first one hatched on day 21 and the last four days later.  Chill. I know its hard though.

Only if the egg is rotting inside.  Have you candled your eggs?

Oh er I would leave them at least a couple of days then. Just to be sure.

DON'T try and "help" them out of the egg! My husband got a bit overenthusiastic, but they just died a couple of days later. Very sad.

i usually find that about 2 days after the due date you're pretty done with what's going to hatch and what's going to hatch healthy

I've known the little * to hatch 4 days later!!!!

out of my 5 hatches any that go to day 22 tend to die in the shell without internally pipping! but thats just my experience! this last hatch has been terrible! think it may of been due to the high temperatures effecting the incy last week! the last 2 hacthed today but on 1 the yolk sac hadnt been fully absorbed!  used sterile water and gently pushed it where it should be then put some purple spray on it, it seems quite lively but the next 48 hours will tell! also had 5 dead in shell and they looked fully formed???
