i think the variety must make quite a difference.
I grew a row each of Arno and Marco, side by side and whereas one of the rows was all spindly and a bit pathetic plants which fell over and have been harvested as pretty disappointing garlics already, the other variety is very thick, luxuriant and still standing proud. I can;t recall which of the two did well, though.

You can overdo things Elibump.
Like the smileys for instance.
Must be a matter of taste.

Perhaps if you were less cryptic, bonfire, we'd all understand what you're aiming at.

Bonfire, I'm sorry if what I said made you feel bullied.  It was meant as GNB (good natured banter) between friends.
Talking to the microwave,I ask you wall, what is the world coming to?
Blesséd are the cracked for tis they who let in the light!

That's exactly how I read it too Elibump, with a smile and a joke as banter
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Thanks for that Elibump.
As a judgement - I dug the last odd quarter row of garlic today - Spring sown Purple Moldovan (???).
OK - but it was a bit small........
I should have followed my own advice.
For this part of the world Autumn sowing is the best plan.
