How big a pot do you reckon it will need.  Can it be transplanted without probs.

Thanks

I use 18" or larger as they are very vigorous when they take off. Potting on or planting out does check them for a while so keep it to a minimum.

They're big plants!

Dependant on variety, they can run several metres in all directions.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Hi, why do you want a pot whats wrong with the ground.

If you live up north alot of terraced houses do not have a garden so pots are all you can use.  But its amazing what you can grow.

Every morning I think they may pop off, but no they seem intent on growing, at the moment I am eyeing up the garage roof for them   ::)

When I am short of space for roaming squash (butternut trailers) I encourage them to share the bean-frame.

It worked well the last few years and was good finding butternut fruit hidden once the beans had finished...

But... I am not so sure my 1st trial munty-frame will support hefty butternut  :(

If growing in pots / tubs, had you thought of a trellis?
