Hi there,

I bought a packet of dwarf french beans - variety Kinghorn Wax (they are yellow).  How tall do you think they will grow?

15 or 18" maybe, Dawn.  Good choice you made 'cos the beans are easy to find among the foliage.

So ..... in metric thats about 38-45 cm, about half a meter.  Not bad, now I know how high to build the climing frame for them.

They don't need any support at all Dawn.

My beans took a battering last year in a terrible thunderstorm and they can sometimes droop over a bit. I banked them up with earth around their stems and I've seen suggestions about placing some string to give them some support.
