planted stuff!
« on: June 26, 2009, 15:40 »
Despite the torrential rain, I had today earmarked to put my dwarf beans in.....so I did!
I know officially have things growing at my new allotment. :D
I got very wet and had some 'looks' from the oldies sitting in their sheds, but hey! They are in!
I made a newbie mistake and bought the wrong net but i'll rectify that.
The pink watering can was put in the pic for 'effect' lol.

very pretty, your netting is a little on the large size looks like a well fed pigeon could navigate through that without folding its wings. But then in my experience they dont eat bean plants, in fact i am not sure if there is much that does. You could leave the netting for the beans  to hang onto when they grow up :D

Janet, never mind the oldies, they were on site in the pouring rain, too. So, in their eyes you are one of them, an allotment gardener. :D

Well done Janet, it always puts a big smile on my face to see how happy people are when they even have just a few plants under their wing. Enjoy it  :)

BTW, if you have any more of that netting left over, and don't want to buy any more you could consider "doubling up" and putting another layer of it over instead of buying new.
I reckon it might work ...

Well said that man!
