Planting grape vines

Is there any special method i should follow when planting  grape vines?I've  got 2 plants about 6ft tall with a couple of bunches of grapes on.

Dig a hole about 2 foot wide and deep, keep the subsoil separate from the top soil,
Break up the bottom of the hole with fork then add plenty of well rotted manure/compost incorporated into the subsoil back into the hole up to just below the depth of the pot.
Then again mix manure/compost into the pile of top soil, fill the hole a little more put the root ball into place make sure it will sit at the same depth as it did in it's pot. Continue to fill the hole firming well as you go.
Finally give it a good water.
Pays to stake them for the 1st year too if you can.  :)
