plants for under trees,very shady

i have a small forest like area at the end of my garden and want to grow/plant flowers/shrubs that will grow there,its shaded all day long from the canopy of the trees, any ideas?
wife to 1, mother to 6, my greenhouse is my sanctuary!

Epimedium is very good in shade and comes in a wide range of foliage colours and has pretty spring flowers. Hellebore is another one that's tough as old boots and very reliable. Asarum  caudatum is unusual -  evergreen lowgrowing perennial as are the other two, by the way.

hi i use lungwort/foxgloves and red campion under my trees they seem to thrive well enough plus the bees love em
