so at what height do you stop the earthing up process :?: :?:

I have planted both my earlies (thursday) and mains (today) and earthed them up to about 4". Hope this is correct.

Fair assumption of mine considering the title of the thread is growing spuds in barrels

Same applies though - the more you can be bothered to earth them up, the better will be your crop.
