The broad bean plants I put in last autumn are now producing fruit and boy are they big, I didnt know they grew so big.

I measured one of the tallest stems, it measured over 1.4mtr high, and growing.

Is this normal for BB plants?

Is yours bigger than mine? 

btw- I have been pinching the tips off since flowering, I can only imagine how big they would get if I didnt.

Mine are not half so tall. You win.

But we have had 3 picks of gorgeous big beans so far

I'm only just planting mine out now...so they are only a few inches tall - can't compete (yet!)

mine are about 6" but absolutely covered in blackfly, hopefully the washing up liquid spray will have some effect today!
