touch wood my parsnips are ok, still in richies pots at the mo though so with a bit of good luck they will transplant ok,,

whilst on the subject,, i have several pringle tubes left over froma school project, anyway thesoil on my lottie is a little stoney so was planning on makin holes putting topsoil in and then planting the parsnips, what do you thing if i use the tubes to grow them in? i knowthey may not be big ones but don,t mind that

thank you all,  I'll try both methods just to learn.  I followed the link to Richies PP and teh you tube - they are so quick and easy and clearly they work for all you guys & gals.  There was another few Utube entries - one lady took 3 minutes to make an origami pot - mad!   

It's too hot for more digging this afternoon so I'll sit and make some pots. 
Any way with luck I wont have to buy my Christmas parsnips.

Last word - I keep asking silly beginner questions and always get helpful answers - thank you all so much

Last ditch chance for me and parsnips - one sowing strainght into the ground and another go at paper-pot method 

If this fails......... B***er the parsnips for this year!!
