[GONE TO SEED]

I had my dig in seeds arrive a few weeks back, anyway i planted the squash seeds, never grown one before, today went to water the veggies and lo and behold i have tiny seedlings appearing. I am ever so chuffed lol, can't wait for them to grow now.

In one of Alan Titchmarsh's books he said that's the one thing about gardening that still fills him with wonder......that tiny seeds can actually grow with just the addition of soil and water

I've been doing it for a lot of years (don't bother asking how many ) and I still get a thrill when the seeds finally pop out of the ground. I planted 8 cuke seeds and after a few days only one sprouted. I wondered whether I should buy some seedlings when next day I found another sprout. The following day 2 more sprouted. Now all 8 are up. Glad I didn't buy the seedlings or I'd be up to my neck in cukes

It seems daft that grown adults get excited about little things like sprouting seeds, but i  love it. Could i ask what  a cuke is please.
