Some strange spots have appeared over my rhubarb leaves. They are about half an inch in diameter and coloured shades of coral pink. From a distance I thought it was some blossom that had fallen, but no trees are in the vicinity. Never seen anything like it before, and there's nothing mentioned in Dr hessayons books.
Has anyone got a clue as to what this is please?

Willowman , I'm a rhubarb grower, but haven't had anything like this. i've just put "rhubarb leaf diseases" into google, and its brough up a page of sites which might give you some idea, but couldn't see any photos on them. Can you post a pici?

That looks like it.
But much more prolific, and brighter pink.
I'll try to get a pic, but never posted piccy on here before so may have to ask for help later.
