About 4" deep mate 12" between tubers and 2' between rows for earlies, maincrop make spacing 18" between tubers. Rake in some grow more as you go, if your not organic

How about parnsips & carrots? Just got mine in. Peas would not come amiss - got some in already & now doing successive sowings.

Herbs will be going in trays in the greenhouse soon for later planting outside. Then there's Kohl Rabi, cucumbers, brassicas, spring onions, tomatoes for outside...................... They are all on my 'to do list' in the next few days.

Just a few ideas, no doubt others will share theirs!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

DD if you mix raddish seed with the parsnips they will germinate early and mark when you planted the snips !!! ... Also you get airated soil and spaces between the snips!  :D

Yes - always. I've learned over the years to hold off from March!

Don't forget - it's warmer dooon sooooth.

Intermediates will go in mid April, Autumn King, late april.

I'm still harvesting last year's sowings of all three, as I can't be ****** to dig them up & store in sand/peat.

I'll confess I planted a few in containers and under glass at the weekend but reckoned it was a month too early.  The packets say May meaning for doooon sooooth folks.

think i'll give the raddish/parsnip idea a go and see how i get on, have plans for peas too and runner beans and a variety of salad stuff, oh and leeks and turnips so just hope ive got room for it all, not doing tomatoes, ive been trying for years and i just seem to kill them for some reason!

Never had a problem with 'snips. I use the 'cluster' method - a few seed every 6 inches.

I also have my own way with radishes, as mentioned here.....
