Been asked many times this year.

It's natural, but chop it off as it will drain energy from the plant.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

it seems to be more common with rhubarb grown from seed than from splitting an established crown.
Failure is only a temporary change in direction to set you straight for your next success.
Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly.

Hi Ian and welcome to the forums,

I've moved your post over to GYO so more people can see it and respond if necessary.

My opinion on your rhubarb is to cut the flowering stalks off pronto.  Otherwise your plant will be focussing on seed rather than lovely tasting stalks!

Edit: I see you've actually posted this question twice, so I'll merge the threads and delete one of the duplicate posts - just keeps things tidy!

Feel free to go back to the welcome section and let us know all about your plot, so you can be properly welcomed by everyone too  :D

I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
