Rhubarb Flowering
« on: April 13, 2009, 16:24 »
 one of my rhubarb plants appears to be shooting a flower / seed head?  Should I chop this off?

You don't want it to waste energy on flowers/seeds as you want stems and more stems

Most definitely 8).  The plant will waste precious energy diverting its growth into a flower that you don't eat or do anything with.

Yes that's what it uses flowers for but we want stems not seeds... unless of course you're trying to reproduce masses of rhubarb  :)
