www.metcheck.com...

Just wanted to say a quick thank you for introducing me to metcheck.com.

Historically I've used the Met Office's website (which has a Worcester page), and in terms of general weather forecasting it's been fine. However, when it comes to overnight temperatures, in the three weeks (or so) I've been using it, metcheck has been consistently more accurate.

Which is V good...  :)

In N Yorks at least, they're predicting possible ground frost overnight into Easter Sunday - best to check your own areas too
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Couldn't agree more; I find it hard to read now, so I stick with Metcheck and the Met Office. Turning into an obssession with me this year; I want as much detail as poss to satisfy my inner nerdiness. Even if the forecast 14 days in advnace turns out to be wrong, I still want to read it!

Be wary of relying on metcheck for weather forecasts - I've found it to be quite inaccurate at times for my area. As an example, this morning I checked the forecast for Newcastle and it shows a temperature of -1 for 22:00 tonight through to 04:00 tomorrow morning. The BBC shows temperatures of 6 and 5 degrees for the same period. I know which one to trust.

The forecasts for Tynemouth and South Shields (which are 2 towns separated by the river Tyne) are completely different.

Sorry but i've found the BBC less accurate, for here, as i've previously posted, and anyway with a frost forecast aren't you better safe than sorry, cos i've been caught out like that before with the BBC

None of them are completely 100% accurate it's not an exact science to be fair. But I definitely do not rely on the BBC.. Metcheck is my favourite, but if there is a mention of frost though, i'd  be covering up just in case.

The sky is clear, there is a chilly wind that is dropping. Who needs a weather website to know that jack frost may visit tonight?

Word of advise - met check is not the most accurate site I've seen :D

If you do use it please use the technical data and not look at the pictures of clouds and rain. 1mm of rain = clear sunny sky? How's that work again?
