Excellent!  Dare I ask how the drainage is?

Well the rice is growing at a good rate !

Dug a drainage ditch to my "well" and it filled with every shovelful
Water is just draining away, but other plot looks a lot dryer.

I've made a raised bed on existing plot and will plant some onions and garlic by the weekend !

My plot is only half a plot, it measures 33m x 10m so it's not that big

Errm that's a really big half plot!  A full 10 rod plot is only just over 250m2  ???
I demand the right to buy seed of varieties that are not "distinct, uniform and stable".

My "big" plot (which is just above the average full size for the plots on my site) is 360 sq metres!  The half plot I also work is 140 sq metres!     So I'd agree that is er... a really big half plot you have!   8)  Nice.

i have 3 plots about 850sqm,  but all on the same site, though i am considering keeping bees in the future but they would have to be on a differnt site as i am not allowed them on my current one.

if you have them on two differnt sites i think you would probaby be best off with things like fruit trees and bush's, aspargus bed that sort of thing that you dont have to tend to very often, as it would be the time on tending to the plant that would be the killer it would be the traveling time, not to mention lugging tools back and forth.
