Mini greenhouse

My garden centre were just changing there display and I've just managed to get a ex-display mini walk in plastic greenhouse for £10.

I know that it's not as good as the real thing but it's got 4 shelves on both sides and it had 5 prentend tomatoes plants in the middle and plants on the shelves when it as on display. I'm going to put it against a wall on a warm patio.

Can I start using it now any suggestions would be welcome.
Try my best to be Organic but don't always make it

Make sure to keep it well ventilated, and shade it if it's in the sun .

And tie it to something. They can't half fly!
Try some green leafy stuff - rocket, mizuna etc if you like it. Carrots or a couple of spuds in a pot. Anything that doesn't need heat to germinate.
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

The patio isn't affected by wind so I thought what with the warm wall it would be a good spot

I've just made some cloches for my plot but i think they will need to be really pegged down as some of the other plots have lost theirs.

... and in my experience they're great for growing stuff and hardening stuff off, but they're not idea for raising seedlines.

It gets hotter'n hell on a Sunday in there during high summer, so if at all possible I would go for the one that has an opaque rather than transparent cover.  And water regularly.

We got a plastic walk in mini greenhouse last year and its a permament fixture now in our veg patch. We put it up and spiked it to the ground, folded the bottom skirt inwards then covered the floor and skirt inside with 20mm gravel to about 2 inches deep. Even in strong winds its not budged.

Ventilation can be a problem so we went to a camping shop and bought some plastic eyelets that are used in ground sheets and then put some breather holes in the gable end using these, this year I think Ill put some eyelets in the bottom corners aswell to allow some flow of air into the bottom then out at the top of the gable once the air is warm.

We also put up some fly tapes up as the flys really get stuck in the "roof space" bit as the door doesnt go all the way up.

Maybe not a good as a full size greenhouse but mine was £20 and Ive been very impressed.

Cheers,
Moz
