Art'noon all - my dear old Dad bought be a blueberry bush at the weekend, which I duly planted out .

A friend has since said that blueberries like acidic soil and mine is almost neutral.

Any thoughts and advice about blueberries in general and the soil in particular?

I grow blueberries - and my soil is very acid (they love it) - apart from that mine do not get very much attention at all and provide a delicious crop every year

You can reduce pH by applying sulphur chips. Buy in bulk from

Blueberries (Bilberries) are derived from a wild berry called the whortleberry or myrtille in French. They thrive on peat moors - very acid - you would be best replanting the plant with ericaceous soil or putting it in a pot.
