Chicky  can JUMP  he/she jumped up off the table infront of me onto the keyboard :D  I think being warmed up in my bra has bought Chicky to life     I read on here a while back that someone (Babe?) had a chick in her bra!
I´ve posted an email with the photo attached to Grannie Annie, hopefully she will get it before she goes to bed and post it on here for me :D   As we have just dial up internet it is too slow for photobucket, it takes about 12 min to attach a photo to an email :(
Chicky had a peck at some layers mash.  I´ve put some water in a jamjar lid and food in another.
In the photo there is a dark mark on the right of chickys head, that is his/her wound from what ever had pecked at her.   :(

Hi Pamela, hope chick ok this morning, looks pretty sturdy, hard to see wound, would take it easy re cleaning - iodene sounds a little harsh to me, we have had chicks with very sore bottoms etc and it might be best to gently dab wound with just cooled boiled water and cotton wool balls, you can gently dry with hair dryer on gentle heat, keeping chick within your hands to be sure not hot.  Maybe little dab of mild antiseptic to keep wound moist and provide a barrier.  Germoline has worked for us - let chick cuddle up again after. if things go well maybe you could find her another couple of chicks for company in the near future.  Good luck. Morning update:
I was up at 4.am checking- all well. Up at 5.30 cos I could  not get back to sleep.  Sat with chicky inside my pj´s then at 6.45 I was so tired so went back to bed taking chicky with me, I napped with her in my hand up against my body under the quilt, I did wrap her in a tissue incase she decided to poo
She is pecking at the food, I have sieved layers mash to get out any bigger bits.  I´ve knitted a small ´rug´ so she is nice and cosy.  Going out for the day to friends, so taking chicky with us.
The wound is dry so I am not going to bother with it, as it is right near her ´ear´.
Will update tonight
Pamela

Chicky is still alive-  not sure he/she is eating much, but as my friend said, how big can a tiny chicks tummy be?
She is sitting of a fluffy square I knitted which is big enough to wrap over her, hopefully she will think the bright pink square is her Mum.
Fingers crossed she is still here tomorrow morning.

Hi again - glad chick still alive, when we had a single chick we got a jam jar and a very soft fluffy sock, pulled sock over jar then pushed rest of sock right inside, chick used to nuzzle right in there, nice and warm.   :)

Lovely to hear that chick is doing well
Be like a duck. Calm on the surface but always paddling like the dickens underneath.

Chicky is very poorly this morning- she can´t stand up and is looking very bad   She is wrapped up in a fluffy ´blanket´ and has my sewing lamp on over the top, which throws out good heat. I´m surprised she has lasted this long, at 7.30 she looked in a bad way
I wish I could have the courage to put her out of her misery, but I just can´t do it.  It seems she is fighting to stay alive, evey now and again she jumps.
What will be will be I guess, if she has to die I hope it will be very soon and not prolong her suffering.
