I love Arran Pilot and you can even use the big ones for jackets. Sooooo creamy :D  Picasso are fab too. I always grow Desiree. I had very good results from Ratte but they are small and the yield is not huge but they're delectable :D   I did Yukon Gold and Pentland Javelin but poor yields from both but the soil was very wet, like a flippin bog.  Cara were good but not as heavy a yield as in previous years  :?

I think it will be earlies only for me next year as all this is getting too much for me.

£3.99 for 20 tubers, plus P&P (£3.95) You're not joking. I'm sure mine were £2.99 from my friendly local Garden Centre last year?

Don't forget what grows well in one area, may not do as well or taste the same in another  :?

I grew a 1st early called Winston which was recommended to me.
They were lovely and will grow again next year.
Also grew PJs, nice as well and Pink Fir apple which were ok but too many nobbley bits!!!!

There are three signs of old age. The first is your loss of memory, the other two I forget.

I grew Pentland Javlin (earlies) this year. Quite a nice taste, but found the skins a bit tough. Rocket have been recomended to me, so thats the one for next year.
Life is a heap of manure. Growing one minute, stinking the next.
