banana plants

yes i know there just big plants , but do they need bringing in over winter or wrapping up , or can they be left :?: please help if possible

Think I saw on tv that they need wrapping up really well over winter.

It depends on the variety and where you are. If it is Musa basjoo then in Birmingham you should be able to get away with a fleece wrap on the worst winter nights. Up here for me they are cut to the ground but are root hardy and come back in Spring (albeit slowly).

If it is a dwarf Cavendish which is the most common ones for sale in garden centres, B&Q's etc then it will definitely need to come indoors for winter and they don't always over winter well as RSM gets them.
