Sulphate of Ammonia
« on: August 11, 2008, 22:23 »
Can anyone tell me if Sulphate of Ammonia is a naturally occuring fertilizer (organic)

People keep telling us that if applied in the winter/spring  before planting it will kill slugs and their eggs below ground- therefore there will be less slug atttacks on things like potatoes etc.

We are trying to be as natural as possible/organic.
Any info would be great.

Best have a look at this page from the National Vegetable Society website.

http://www.nvsuk.org.uk/growing_show_vegetables_1/fertilisers.php

As you can see the pages look, errr somewhat similar in layout to this site.

Comes firmly under "Inorganic".
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
