Is there a Bush type Butternut Squash out there ?
« on: August 11, 2008, 00:18 »
Can anyone please let me know if there is a Butternut Squash variety which is a Bush or Semi bush type available rather than the normal trailing varieties please.

I've grown other sorts of squash on a bush type but never found a butternut type.

Any help would be appreciated. :D

T&M do a winter "bushy" variety - Harrier F1.

But you get a lot more seeds for your pennies from Tozer Seeds (the breeders of Harrier F1) :

There are many squash varieties available in USA and Canada but the EEC won't allow us to have them. Probably the French don't like us being able to grow our own.
