I bought a jellybag with loops on and then suspended them on sticks over a swing bin base and put a bowl in the bottom. Hope that helps. :)

Well this is the kit, but easy to make your own too if you look at what it is, jelly bag suspended over upturned stool or something?

I've got one of these but have found that the muslim is too coarse...has quite large threads and a few holes :(

It  aint cheap but it will do the job of a jelly bag strainer without any mess.  Try Lakeland and their juice extractor.  I have used one of these for over forty years but of a different manufacturer.  It not only makes superb sterile juice that can be made into jelly, or kept as pure fruit juice and, for wine makers it is just the job.  We use ours for steaming Gammon, chicken, steamed puddings, steamed beetroot, steamed blackberries, loganberries, rapsberries and even Seville oranges in preparation in making marmalade and I am sure you can use it for any steaming needs.  Yes, it means spending but when you consider I have used mine for over forty yhears it is little more than a couple of pounds annually and is so versitile.  I can strongly reccomend this steamer.
