Hi All,
         I have some strawberry baby plants that i pegged down into pots
          and they have taken root so i have disconnected them from the
          mother plant i need to wait till next year to plant them out would it  
           be ok to keep them in my shed over winter? will they survive?
           any advice would be welcomed. I am stuck for space until  i get
           my new allotment soughted out.

I would not leave them in the shed due to light & watering problems.

The plants are quite hardy & will be quite happy on somewhere like a patio or driveway.

Yes, DD's right. I did the same last year. Left the plants in pots on the patio, right through winter. They're giving me plenty of fruit this year

plant the strawberries along side the larger plants , this way you will 1st and 2nd year plants together , give you a bigger crop without having to do any further work
