Who's eating my Swedes??
« on: July 20, 2008, 09:57 »
I have two patches of Swedes. One is growing between Turnips and Beetroot - they are fine. The other patch is growing alongside Brocolli.

The Broccoli is fine, no caterpillars or anything, but the Swedes there have had their leaves stripped. The culprit is a thin grubby looking thing about 1cm long and a pale yellow.

Any idea what it is?

Hello Zippy,

how many of them are there?  are there any signs of slugs as well?

you'll get a quicker and more accurate ID if you can post a pic - it's easier than you may think!
