Any good tips growing the gian pumpkin, grown jack-o-lanterns last year and got some good ens but want a biggie this year :D

Definitely seems for the enthusiast....i would love to try but don't think i could spend the time with the pumpkin at the critical stages.

Dont know too much,but would imagine they require loads of well rotted manure and compost,also restrict the number of flowers on the plant to just 1 or 2?

It seems that way and then you have to make a decision down to one...can you imao all that effort and ooops you make the wrong decision...or worse still you get it to the critical stage and it.........explodes. :?

opened the pumkins and put cans of bitter inside it,the final weight was 2 ton  :D

Had a good tip off muntjak, urine+beer and manure.
treat the soil with that first, and should imagin feed it aswell.
(urine :shock: )

Without trying to stir up a hornets nest here but would using beer and nearly all beer that I know of contains chemicals would this breech the organic issue????  :lol:
