Oedipus looking for a new home.
« on: July 13, 2008, 20:24 »
I think I am going to have to take proactive steps to prevent a Greek tragedy occuring in my back garden. My beautiful white Campbell duckling is most definately a boy and starting to take a somewhat unnatural interest in the girls, one of whom must be his Mum (the others are probably his aunts). Now I'm not the most prudish of people but would like to prevent a scandal (Can you imagine the Sun headline - "4 in a nest incest shocker") and am therefore looking for a good home for him. Anyone interested please PM me.
He is now 11 weeks old, this is him about 4 weeks ago. Will try to get him to have a bath and post a current one. Definately adolescent.

Be like a duck. Calm on the surface but always paddling like the dickens underneath.

Kate, will ask my friend tomorrow - she has Pom - a female and was only remarking a couple of days ago that she would love a white male to breed her with - a win win situation for all if she is willing?

She keeps chickens as well and she also helped out when another friend found some abandoned cygnets the other week.

OOPS - just rang her, Pom has, she thinks, gone to dinner with Mr Fox!

So probably best not let him go there for a while! Sorry.
