theres not a smiley for scratching my head not knowing what to do for the best.

I'll see how the week pans out (dog to the vets again tomorrow) and maybe go along, with a view of only buying if i'm totally sure of it being healthy (no doubts in my head) lol

How about this one???

If you do go try and get to know some of the breeders who are selling there as they are always willing to sell you birds from home and you will be able to go and see what conditions the birds are kept in etc plus you will get lots of advice from them too.

If you buy the catalogue at the sale it often has contact details of the sellers.

Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Hiya,
Hope you got on at the auction alright....

the last one we went to I watched a fellow tell a townie couple that the cages they were looking at had duff birds and that he would sort them out with some proper hens if they stopped by his place.... he then bought both of the cages!!!  I know it was a bit nosey of me but I told the couple what he had done and told them to go to a breeder asking for POL birds cause they were looking for hybrids anyway.

There are some really 'cagey'  people out there

have you posted any pics yet ??

Sorry Porffor,

the second page didn't come up the first time I looked so I hadn't realised that you decided not to go...  I am hoping to add to my brood but they are so many choices that I can't decide what to do either

Good luck and happy hunting,

Piglit
