Well she's not dud in our opinion but we do worry if she's going to be ok.  She's the one with the dodgy eye and although she's the most inquisitive and noisy of the lot, she definitely isn't growing as quickly.  What do you think.

Noeye Chick

Healthy Chick

PS  Sorry if my pics are too big.  Let me know what I need to do to make them smaller.  :D

Poor mite - does look behind growth wise. All you can do is leave it and see. Try not to get too attached to the underdog!

We have a hen with sight in one eye only and she is just fine. They soon learn to cope and catch up with the others quite quickly.

My friends had a cockerel who only had one eye, he was fine. His name was Willy    (sorry, but its true!   the one eyed...     ) and he was always quieter than the rest, but he was friendlier towards people. Unforunately the fox recently got in the coop and he is no more  :( . Because he was friendlier towards people, he always got the good treats as he wasnt afraid to come near to the owners! And he knew where to wait!  :)

Before we knew anyones name on our road when we moved in we had nicknames for everyone - one fella up the road got christened eileen for similar reasons!! Are we cruel?? The trick is not to refer to them by the nickname in conversation
