Night Rob :)

I've still got quite a bit of sloe gin from last autumns batch. You might have to fight my friend Tim for it. Sure you could take him though
Be like a duck. Calm on the surface but always paddling like the dickens underneath.

We are very new to hen keeping and learning daily.  We have had a sonic deterent for the last 12 months to keep the local fox away from our bunny and it seemed to work (ie we still have a bunny and the dogs don't go crazy in the middle of the night anymore).  ;)

Our girls have (what we hope) is a secure run, 6ft close board on one side and 4 foot aviery wire mesh to 3 sides.  We do let let roam in the veg patch and also in the garden (surrounded by the same 6 ft close board fence) so long as we keep the dogs in the house!

So far we have not seen any signs of the fox, the farmers field onto which our garden backs has a small flock of hens also - who free range all year.  Other than a very small run attached to their coop they do not have any where secure yet they have not been troubled by foxes (in the last 12 months) either.  Perhaps we are just lucky?
1 lovely hubby, 3 dogs, a bunny and 7 ex batts and a shiny new lottie!  (so far)

Wouldn't trust anything other than 6000v now
