I am about to plant out my cabbage/brocoli/cauli seedlings (all late as the first 2 lots died )

can I bury them up to the first leaves or just plant at current growing level ?

I always plant them a bit further down than current level, to firm them up a bit.

You should, Brassica is again one of those plants that grow extra support roots from the stalk.
