my rant for the day! :(
« on: May 11, 2008, 21:33 »
My moan for the night sorry all.

Could not believe it just checked on my lettuces and broccoli calabreses and my god they leggy.

The lettuces have keeled and died. The broccoli look they about to snap. Looks like i'll have to start a new set all over again grrrr

But on the plus side my runner beans, sugarsnap and garden peas are growing like little beauties!!!

My tomatoes and cucumbers have tripled in size both in hanging baskets and the greenhouse. Had a closer look and they have flowers!!! First time growing so i'm dead chuffed.

AH sorry again all narked just after my cats killing many batches when jumping on my table just thought i'd got right  . Ah well we live and learn but its great doing it!!!
Who needs a guard-dog when you can have cats for guards!

Where are the lettuce & calabrese? Should really be outside now if they aren't.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

The lettuces and broccoli were put outside about two weeks ago.

Just had another look at them with the back garden light on, blooming cats were at them again. Think there doomed to be cat food

Would growing them in big pots be a possibility, kezlou? Might deter the cats...

(me and my pots - getting to sound like DD & his foil   )

Net everything, its the only sure fire way of preventing cat damage.  I have found that every one of my letuces planted thus far has been eaten (by slugs)  but it seems to have saved the spinach and everything else in the same bed so as I'm not a big lettuce eater anyway I see it as a beneficial sacrifice!
