Thanks for all the advice so far.

I've found someone who has 4 8 week buff pekins and we can collect them as soon as we are all set up. She's happy to keep them longer if need be.

My boy joshua is thrilled as it turned out that she gave a talk to his class and took the same chicks in, the class named one and she is part of the four we're having.

I can't believe how excited i am.

Get ready for loads of questions, i'm going to read a smany threads as i can but i still might have to ask for advice.

i do have a question regarding eggs although it will be a while until the first arrives.

I believe the eggs are small so as layers what are they like and when cooking would i need 2 eggs when a recipe requires 1 egg

i had same question as some of our eggs are very big and some small(have bantys and chickens)i found that the best is to weigh the eggs and add equal weight in sugar then beat and fold in equal weight in flour!!makes the best sponge i,ve ever done.used a similar method for muffins with bacon and cheese.lovely!!!!
