Hi
I have two hens - one of which is broody ( Princess Snow White) with some fertile eggs under her

. Well today her sister decided to join her - and now they are sharing a nest box and tonite I found 2 of the eggs under the new broody (Aunty Chuckles).
Now its my understanding that its not good for the eggs to be rolled about. Should I try to exclude Aunty Chuckles, which may be difficult or shall I just leave them to it and hope for the best.
Any help gratefully received.

well I know it has worked and two broodies have raised the same clutch -I guess it depends on the nesting situation -if they are in a broody coop with just the two of them on one nest might be OK....could try with some golf balls and see what happens.

I found a similar post on another website with lots of replies like yours. I was worried initially that they would fight over eggs but its not the case at all. And if I'm honest I'm not sure that Aunty Chuckles is totally serious about it. I thinks she's just keeping her sis company

I will let them sit together and see what happens.
Just means no eggs for me :cry:
