Tomato trusses
« on: April 07, 2008, 15:45 »
Can someone tell me what a tomato truss is? Apparently I'm supposed to wait until one forms before I feed it, and I should try and keep the number that form low. But I've no idea what one is?!!

I aim for about 6 trusses in the greenhouse, 3 - 4 outside.

Start feeding when the first tomato is about pea size, if you do it too early all the growth will go into the foiliage.

A lot of folk recommend a half strength feeding every time you water, rather than full strength 2-3 times a wek.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
