New Hens Update
« on: April 01, 2008, 11:35 »
Well the mixing of the two groups of females went really well I was expecting them to stay in seperate groups for a while but they're wondering around togeather as if always been here  :D

The Men on the other hand well I think it was obvious with the time of year and the fact they are men that there was going to be trouble.
After lot of blood and me with a bruised leg ( trying to seperate them!) I got them apart and New Cockerel has gone to live with a friend of my Dad's.
O/H had said he'd build a fence to keep them apart but I didn't want to have to worry about closing gates etc... I like them to be free to go where they want.
So I'm hoping i've done the right thing  :?:

It was so horrible watching them fighting, something had to be done :( He has got 4 ex-batts to keep happy so I'm sure he'll be fine.

But the girls are lovely I'm sure you must miss them, and thier eggs
