Starting off veg in pots/modules

I sow everything in trays in the greenhouse cos i've had my allotment for two years now and still seem unable to get anything to germinate if i sow direct. It all seems to grow ok once it goes in thats when i manage to keep the woodpigeons off.

Thanks for all your input everyone. I've sown some summer cabbages and Brussels sprouts in pots so far. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Will have to remember to cover them up when I do finally get them transplanted to the plot, because I tried to grow cabbages last year in my garden and the Cabbage White Butterfly caterpillars ate them all!

I am hoping my old net curtain will do the trick. :?

Am I too late to sow parsnips in the ground or in pots??

An area of huge interest to me. Something that grows for at least a few weeks with out using up valuable ground space. This is good :idea: .
